Occupant load factors per IBC 2021 Table 1004.5. Function of space determines the occupant load factor — not the use group classification. Gross area includes corridors, stairs, restrooms, and mechanical rooms. Net area excludes non-occupiable spaces. For fixed seating, count actual seats per §1004.6; benches without dividing arms at 18 in. per person.
